About
About Onza Corp.
Several years ago, one of our founders — working as a geologist — had an idea while analyzing core samples from deep inside the earth. He dissolved a section of the sample from a salt formation into water and observed gas escaping. The realization that gas had somehow been trapped inside a salt crystal caught his attention immediately. After several rounds of testing, a team was assembled to reverse-engineer the process: how did the gas get there, and could the process be replicated?
Turns out — it can. Along with that confirmation came a flash of what the discovery really meant: the potential to turn gases into solids, and to change the world in the process.
So many beneficial gases exist, yet most have limited commercial use due to production costs, short half-lives, or the simple inability to transport and slow-release them at scale. Once we knew those barriers could be overcome, the wheels started turning — and Onza was born, and the technology to convert gases into solids, was patented.
Onza’s first commercial product, FreshSure, harnesses the power of ozone — a naturally occurring, FDA- and USDA-approved antimicrobial agent — in solid form. Where ozone gas once dissipated within minutes, Onza has successfully stored it for over two and a half years. FreshSure’ crystalized ozone can be incorporated directly into food packaging to extend shelf life, reduce foodborne pathogens, and prevent costly product recalls.
Looking ahead, Onza is developing applications across wound care, water purification, and beyond — backed by a world-class team and advisory board that includes former leaders from the FDA, USDA, Stanford University, Genentech, and Novartis.
Onza Corp is currently in its commercialization phase, partnering with industry leaders to bring this transformative technology to market at scale.
Since that discovery in 2020, Onza Corp has grown into a cutting-edge ChemTech company advancing medicine, agriculture, and planetary health — one molecule at a time. Through breakthrough, patented gas-to-solid technology, Onza has developed a novel platform that traps beneficial gases within stable solid materials, unlocking their full potential for the first time.
At the heart of this platform is a process called clathrate formation — capturing reactive gases and converting them into a fine, shelf-stable powder that can be safely stored, transported, and deployed across a wide range of applications. The technology isn’t limited to a single gas or use case; it’s a versatile foundation for solving some of the world’s most pressing challenges in food safety, water treatment, and human health.
